Status Indicator Lights
page: 17 of 22
Usually, a surge protector will possess a status indicator light. This light indicates when the unit is no longer functional. When large surges of voltage or massive spikes, like those caused by lightning, burn out the surge protector unit, the light will turn off. The absence of a light display indicates the unit should be replaced.
Quality surge protectors will often include a plug for a telephone line to provide surge protection to modems.
